All Summer Reading Programs begin Monday, June 4th.
Summer Reading Program for Adults
Who can join?
Any adult, at least 18 years old with a current Roselle Public Library card.
What do I do?
- Sign up in the Adult Services Department
- Read 5 books in any format from the Roselle Public Library collection, or from the Library's eMediaLibrary collection, between June 4 and July 31.
One book must be food-related (but not a cookbook). Select a book from this bibliography, or something similar.
- That's it!
What's in it for me?
In addition to the joy and pleasure you will get from reading, all participants completing the program will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card and a free book.. Finishers will also be eligible for (drum roll!) the GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS!!!
Summer Reading Program for Families
What is a family?A "family" can be one or two parents, grandparents or guardians and one or more children under 18.
All family members must have a current Roselle Public Library card.
What do I do?:
- Sign up in the Adult Services Department
- Each family member reads 3 books from the Roselle Public Library collection, or from the Library's eMediaLibrary collection, between June 4 and July 31 (non-readers may have books read to them).
- That's it!
What's in it for us?
In addition to the joy and pleasure you will get from reading, when each family member has read 3 books, the family members will each receive an ice cream coupon, donated by Dairy Queen of Roselle, and the family will be eligible for (drum roll!) the GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS!!!
Adult family members can also participate in the Adult Summer Reading Program and child family members can also participate in the Kid's Summer Reading Program.
Summer Reading Program for Teens
Who can join?
Young Adults entering 6th Grade through 12th Grade with a current Roselle Public Library Card
(6th graders may join either the Teen program or the Children's program)
What do I do?

What's in it for me?
In addition to the joy and pleasure you will get from reading,
all teens who register during the first 2 weeks are eligible to win a Brunswick Zone Fun Package.
All teens who meet their goal will be eligible to win one of 2 Amazon Kindles, plus so many other cool prizes.

Summer Reading Program for Kids
Who can join?
Kids, birth through 6th grade, with a current Roselle Public Library card.
(6th graders may join either the Teen program or the Kids's program)
What do I do?:
- Sign up at the Ask Me Desk
- Read or listen to books from the Roselle Public Library collection, or from the Library's eMediaLibrary collection, between June 4 and July 31, then log the number of minutes you read.
- That's it!
What's in it for me/my child?
In addition to the joy and pleasure you will get from reading with or to your child, children who finish the program can select a book as a reward for a job well done!
Finishers will also be eligible for (drum roll!) the GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS!!!
Participants must be Roselle Public Library cardholders.
